Telco BSS Specialist / Engineer
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team in the role of Telco BSS Charging & Billing Specialist to support client’s charging, billing and core network related activities. This position plays a key role in supporting our operations and contributing to the long‑term growth of the company.
Candidates who is Malaysian and have attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field should apply to join our growing team of experts.
LOCATION
- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (on-site)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configure and maintain telco products, tariffs, and plans within the BSS system
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of configurations across product catalogues and offers
- Support deployment activities using CI/CD pipelines
- Write and maintain basic scripts to automate routine tasks (e.g., shell)
- Perform SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and troubleshooting (basic skills).
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to deliver changes smoothly
- Document configuration processes and maintain change records
SKILL SET
- Hands-on experience configuring telco BSS platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Whale Cloud, Huawei, etc.)
- Familiarity with Online Charging (OCS/OCF) and mediation or billing workflows
Basic understanding of Core Network elements and interfaces (Gy, Gx, Diameter, SIP, etc.) - Strong troubleshooting skills in end-to-end mobile data, voice, and SMS flows
- Ability to interpret logs, traces, and usage records
- Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud-based charging/billing or containerized deployments
- Knowledge of SQL, scripting, or basic automation for analysis
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes
- Basic scripting and SQL skills
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, change-driven environment
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Telco BSS, Charging, or Billing systems
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
